Get To Know Me Collab With Solange

Today's post is my first collab which I've been so excited for and it's with Solagne from Solange's Bloggin. Solange has such a fantastic blog and her photography is literally out of this world.
For this collab we've asked each other ten questions so for my post I'm showing my questions and Solange's answers so if you want to read my answers head over to Solange's blog to read them!

So here are my questions that Solange has answered and the above picture is of the beautiful girl herself!!

What inspired you to make your blog and when did you start it?

I started watching YouTube videos back in December 2014 and ever since I've really liked the internet. When I discovered the blogs of a few popular YouTubers like Zoella and Tanya Burr, I knew I wanted to have my own blog. It started off horribly though, my English was an utter disaster back then (I was at a whopping age of 13 years young and my native language is German, not English) and the content I put out was not really what I wanted to do. After years of adjusting, renaming and revolutionising my blog I'm now finally somewhat content with it. Don't know how long that'll last though!

What are your top tips for someone who is questioning whether to start a blog?

Blogging surely isn't everybody's cup of tea but if you're not sure whether or not to start a blog - just go for it. There's not really much that can go wrong. If you don't like it you can delete your blog anytime you want.

Once you've made your decision to start a blog, the best thing to do is set up social media accounts for your blog or link your already existing ones to it. Social media is a huge part of the blogging community and it's a great way to connect to mutual bloggers and make new friends. It's also important to post reguarly - something I personally still fail to keep up. I don't know what makes it so hard for me to post regularly but I think schedules are great. Never force yourself to post though - I always say I'd never put a post up I don't stand 100% behind and like.

What's the best and worst things about the blogging community?

The best thing about the blogging community is just the community itself, haha. It's such a positive part of the internet, people writing about the things they love and get exited about. I also love just how open everybody is - everybody is accepted and important topics, especially considering mental health and such, are very often addressed. As these are (sadly) often topics we're rather afraid to talk about in a conversation face-to-face, blogging is a great way of learning, understanding and getting help with any issues one may have.

Negative things about the blogging community? Don't really know, to be honest. There's really not much. The only thing that can be rather irritating is the pressure to be online all the time - sometimes it's hard to tweet every day, post a picture onto instagram once a day and keep writing posts for your blog which has to have the best layout there is.

What gives you the inspiration to take your photos?

My inspiration for pictures mostly just comes from my environment. I see something and I think "Oh, that'd look great in a picture" so I take out my camera and start taking pictures.

Also a big part are photographers I follow on the internet - People like Ollie Ritchie, Brandon Woelfel and Jack Harries are huge inspirations when it comes to photography. I often find myself in front of my phone scrolling through my instagram and suddenly feeling the need to just go out and take pictures of whatever crosses my way - which is exactly what I do (almost) whenever these moments occur.

What are your favourite hobbies or things to do in your spare time?

In my free time I spend a lot of time on the internet, reading blogs and watching Youtube videos. I'm an internet kid through and through, haha. I also spend a lot of time reading book after book after book - I love diving into all the different worlds books can put me in.

I obviously also do things with my friends when I have some time to spare, though I have to admit that I'm not the most sociable person there is and often like to stay in and read or go on a hike with a few cameras and a music device on my own than go out with friends. But when I get too lonely I offend just meet up with friends and hang out with them.

Music is also a rather big part of my life. I've been playing the cello since I was in 2nd grade (which was quite a while ago) and also enjoy playing the piano or the ukulele - though I'm not very good at neither of them.
Obviously, photographing and filmmaking is also quite a huge part of what keeps me busy these days.

What's one thing you want to achieve in the future?
That's a great question - also one that makes me think a lot. There's so many things I want to do in the future. Obviously I want to learn and get much better with the whole photography and filmmaking thing.
As one grand thing that I want to do is my life is to gain a bit more independence (I hate responsibility more than anything and I think that has to be changed, haha!) and move to another country. I've lived in Switzerland all my life and I've always had the urge to get out into the world. It's also clear to me that I don't want to stay in Switzerland all my life. Therefore I would love to achieve a level of independence that makes it possible for me to move to another country, e.g. Norway (beautiful, beautiful country!) or maybe even the UK.

1. Family & Friends
2. Cameras
3. Music in all forms and styles

What are your top photography tips?
My number one tip is always natural lightning. No studio lights or lamps in the world can ever achieve a look as good and natural as daylight. So I advise anybody to use natural light as much as possible - if necessary maybe use the help of unnatural lighting.
Another tip is that if you're not sure if that one shot is good or not, go for it. I don't want to know how many brilliant shots have stayed untaken because in the heat of the moment I thought it wasn't good. I often only realise how good a certain picture is when I look at it later.
Last but not least: Never ever use pre-set effects that may be available on your camera. I have so many pictures that are forever cursed to a life in black and white because I took them with a black and white filter on my camera that I cannot take off. Leave the editing for later.

What do you think people misunderstand about you?
I think a lot of people find me rather boring or at least uninteresting because of the fact that I'm not very sociable and, as touched on in a previous question, sometimes prefer to stay in rather than going out. Therefore I think a lot of people think I don't enjoy going out or I don't like being with people - which is by no means true! I love being with friends and I enjoy every minute when I go out, I just don't do it as often because I don't feel like doing so (and because anxiety is making it difficult but that's a whole other story).
So as a conclusion, I think many people perceive me as boring, which I don't think or hope I am, because I enjoy the quiet life.

What are your 5 strengths?
Oh geez, that one's difficult.
First, I think I have a strength that when it comes to studying and schoolwork I have a certain discipline that allows me to get decent marks without too much of an effort.
I also think I'm pretty good at making people laugh. I'm absolutely useless when it comes to consoling or helping people with their problems (I never know what to say, haha) - which is actually kind of sad, but what can you do? - but when it comes to cheering somebody up and generally spreading positive vibes, I like to consider myself 'not the worst.'
Another thing - which isn't always a strength as it often leads to disappointment - is the fact that I can easily get very passionate about things. I don't do things halfway - I do things and give it all I've got or I don't do it at all.
(It's really starting to get difficult to think of more at this point haha.)
Okay, so I also think I'm pretty reliable. If I say I'm going (or not going) to do something, that's what I do. I also always try my best to be trustworthy and as far as I know people trust me fairly well.
As a last strength I think it's fair to mention my ability to express the little bit of creativity there is in me through photography and videography. I definitely don't have many talents but I dare to say that photography is one of them.

What's In My Summer Go-To Bag?

I can never leave the house without a bag as I always love to carry what I think are the 'necessities' which is a choice of around 6 different lip balms and a couple of pairs of sunglasses. And if you read my previous 'Whats In My Bag' then you'll know how over-packing is an understatement for me.
However believe it or not I've kept the items in my bag really basic and cut back on the things that I think 'might come in handy' as lets face it, they never do! So this has been my go-to bag recently, I took these pictures right after I went out so this is exactly what I take with me!

First off my bag is my summer essential this year and it's my Red Cross Body Bag from Primark (£5) which I think is so suited for this season as it's the perfect shape and size. I also love the bold red shade as I surprisingly find it so easy to wear and looks so stylish but so simple. The bag has the perfect amount of room inside as well as a small zip pocket on the side which is perfect to keep some loose change in. I've been wearing this constantly at the moment and with the adjustable strap it's super practical and comfortable.

So moving on to whats actually in my bag, my first essential is my purse. I tend to just use my card holder where I'll keep my card, Superdrug card and a £10 note in the back just for emergencies. My card holder is a light patent pink purse which I'm not sure where it's from but it's only a cheap one however it's last me for ages and I always use it as it's so handy and slides into my bag easily.
I then also have my keys and phone in my bag which obviously I always take out with me and I keep these both loose in my bag as everything is super easy to find as the bag is small. And I keep my phone in my favourite phone case which is the Skinnydip Tropic Phone Case which is a metallic blue/silver case and I absolutely love it! (And I don't have my phone in the case in the pictures as I use my phone to take my photos!!)

Moving on to the 'beauty' types of products, I always carry my lip balm which I have to narrow down to one which is a very hard choice for someone who loves a million types of lipbalm. But recently my go-to lip balm has been my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant as it keeps my lips super moisturised but gives the a gorgeous healthy sheen perfect for everyday use.
I also carry my lip product of the day which in most cases recently has been my Kiko Crystal Sheer Lipstick in 412 as it's a perfect everyday shade as it's a pinky nude but has probably more pink tones in so perfect for this season and this is also super balmy and creamy on the lips. I keep this two products in the pocket in the bag as it keeps them together and I know where to find them when I need a quick touch up!
I also carry a packet of tissues (yes they are Mr Men tissues (I'm still obsessed)) which I keep slotted at the side of my bag as well as a couple of bobbles which are normally found at the bottom of my bag. I usually have a bobble around my wrist but just in case it snaps or I lose it, it's always best to have spares!

Lastly I keep a pair of sunglasses in my bag and these ones are one of my many pairs from Primark (I always buy a pair of sunglasses when I go to Primark in this season, it's like a tradition...). These are a pair of Rose Gold Sunglasses and they have a a cat eye outline on each lens, I'm not too sure what they're proper name is but they were a bargain of £3 anyway!
And then to finish off I have my headphones which are just the Apple ones that come with a phone. I don't tend to use my headphones often when I'm out however if I end up on my own when I'm on the bus or train, I always like to have my headphones as you can't beat a bit of Harry Styles on your way back home!

Night Routine; Skincare, Organisation & Relax

I love winding down at night and feeling relaxed as it get me ready for bed and there's nothing better than feeling cosy and feeling prepared for the next day.
I have to be organised otherwise I'll stress like there is no tomorrow so on a typical weekend night, I like to tick all these steps off my list and I can then fully relax.

♡ Skincare;
The thing that is a necessity is to start on my skincare which I love to do and I will always start by taking my makeup off. I always take my makeup off by using my Garnier Micellar Water and some Oval Cosmetic Pads from Primark which I absolutely love. The Garnier micellar water has been a favourite of mine for years now as it takes my makeup off so well whilst being refreshing and giving some moisture to my skin.
I tend to use a face mask around once a week to give my skin a boost of hydration and life so I will use the Una Brennan Super Facialist Intense Moisture Mask. This has always been a firm favourite of mine as it's super moisturising and hydrating which is perfect for my dry skin. I'll keep this on for around 10 minutes and whilst I wait I will give my body a quick moisturise.

If you read my 2017 Goals then you might remember how I wanted to try and moisturise my body more as I used to be quite lazy and could never be bothered. However now I religiously moisturise (least one of my new year resolutions worked...) and as it's getting a bit sunnier and warmer I use my Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion in Fair To Medium which is a subtle gradual tanner. I'm so pale naturally so this gives my skin a little bit of colour and glow whilst also being a great moisturiser. I use this a couple of times a week and I still look pale however it does build up after a while and I love using this as there is no chance of it looking patchy or making you look like an orange. They also offer a darker option which is great to use if you want it a tad more bronzed.

So after taking my face mask off and moisturising, I will moisturise my face and I've recently been using the Garnier Moisture Nourish Daily Rich Moisturiser. This is quite heavy and creamy so is perfect for night time use. It works so well with the mask as it locks in the moisture in my skin and feels so soothing on my face and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.

Next I will use my Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub which I use around once every two weeks or whenever my lips are needing a refresh and this gets rid of any dry skin that is on my lips. And after using this lip scrub, I will apply some lip balm as there is nothing I hate more than the feeling of dry lips. I always have about four different styles of lip balm on me as I'm always swapping and changing but I've been loving this Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter as it's super thick and creamy and definitely brings moisture to my lips whilst making them soft and smooth.

♡ Prepare For The Next Day;
I love to go to sleep knowing that I have a plan and goals for the next day as I try and make the most out of each day. I make lists on what I need and want to do the next day which can include things like 'wash makeup brushes' or 'do homework- will take 50 minutes' and this just lets me see everything that I want to do. Making lists makes me so much more productive and I manage my time so much more better when I have a plan of action for the day.
I make my daily lists in this small rectangular To-Do List from Home Bargain which is perfect for daily lists. On a weekday I tend to make a list for Monday-Friday but I always make daily lists on weekends and holidays.

♡ Tidy Room;
I'm a firm believer in 'tidy room, tidy mind' so my room tends to be quite tidy most of the time, however I always make sure my room is spick and span before I got to bed. I'm a bit of a neat freak when it comes to my room so I make sure everything is away and nothings in the wrong place or looks messy. Nothing stresses me out more than a messy room!

♡ Wind Down;
I'm always in my pyjamas's by 8 o'clock which I think is quite early and I love relaxing early on. I like to watch a TV at night, whether it's an episode of Teen Wolf or Holby City and of course it's not complete without a bag of crisps... I try and keep of my phone at night as I get headaches very easily when I'm in front of bright lights however I will sometimes quickly go on it before I go to sleep.

♡ Sleep;
I'm a girl who loves her beauty sleep and let me tell you, I am not someone you want to be around when I haven't got enough sleep! On a weekday I go to bed at around 10:30ish and I'll wake up at 6:45am. I think sleep is so important and with moisturised skin, a plan for the next day, tidy room and feeling relaxed, I can have the perfect nights sleep!

Why I Love Blogging

I feel like my blog is a part of me now, when I first started writing weekly which was around November 2016 my blog just felt impersonal and something I was just trying out. Now I feel like I've come so far with it and definitely proved myself wrong and I find it hilarious looking at my old blog posts as they are absolutely horrendous!

♡ The People;
The blogging community is actually the best, I've found some amazing people from my blog and it's gave me so much more confidence in myself. If you asked me a year ago if I would make a conversation with someone I've never talked to on Twitter then I would have laughed in your face and told you there would be no chance of that. But now I will talk to anyone and everyone on Twitter (not like weird people though (if you get me)) as everyone is so friendly and lovely!

I've made so many great friends from my blog that are the loveliest people ever and I hope that one day I would be able to go to a blogging event but that all depends on how confident I'm feeling (if I even have any confidence?).

♡ Helping People;
I really wouldn't say I'm a 'pro' at blogging however I've helped a handful of people when it comes to having a blog which really makes me feel proud and definitely boosts my confidence. At first when I saw an email from someone asking me for help on a blog I was like 'why are they asking me out of all people?!' but now I love helping people out! It definitely makes me feel proud of myself when I help someone out and I'd never thought I would help people out when it comes to blogging as most of the time I can't even figure it out myself!

♡ Improved My Writing Skills;
I've always loved writing however I've never been particularly good at it but I feel that writing on my blog quite often has meant my writing quality has improved. I never have to stop and think about what I'm writing, it just tends to flow out which is probably one of the reason why my writing is such a mess but I love sitting down and writing away. I really hope my writing will continue to improve as I read other peoples blogs and always think 'how do they write so well' and I hope one day my writing will be as good as quality.

♡ Reading Other Blogs;
As well as making friends with many other fellow bloggers, I love reading so many other peoples blogs. Before my blog I only read a couple of blogs regularly however now I read so many and I love finding new blogs and reading literally all their posts (does anyone else do that when they find a new blog, or is it just me?). Also I love finding small blogs when you can truly see how much effort they put into it and it inspires me as well when I read blogs that are much better than mine as it makes me want to try and improve as much as I can!
However the only downside is, it makes me add a lot of things to my shopping list if someone else writes a good review about it on their blog as I think I NEED it if it's a good product!

♡ I've Learnt So Many New Skills;
When I started my blog I was constantly watching YouTube videos to try and figure out what I was trying to do and my I.T skills are pretty non-existent so I was pretty hopeless however I feel like I've learnt a lot of skills when it comes to my blog. I recently changed the whole layout of my blog which I'm very happy with however when I was trying that I was so scared that it wouldn't work and I was just 'experimenting' so if it went wrong, I would have been screwed. Fortunately it worked perfectly which makes a change for me but I would never have thought I'd be editing code and html (whatever it's called) for my blog as I have no clue what it all means.

♡ Gained Confidence;
I have no confidence whatsoever however my blog has definitely given me a boost and although I'm still the shy person I'll always be, I feel like my blog has given me some confidence. I've lost a lot of my confidence in the last year or two and I've become more of a quieter person in my opinion but sometimes I feel like I lead a double life on my blog. Sounds cringey but I feel like I can be myself on my blog as only my close family know about my blog and I feel like I'm not being judged as if my friends found out about my blog, I'd feel really judged and not as comfortable. But yeah, got a bit off track but I definitely think I've gained more confidence in myself and I am proud of myself.
However I'm still working on getting some more confidence so I can go out more to take some outfit shots as my drive doesn't really hit the mark...

♡ Organisation;

My blog has definitely made me more organised and manage my time a bit better. I'm still not amazing as I often realise that I've forgot to take blog photos for a post that is going up the next day however I would have never imagined I'd be posting twice a week, every week as although it doesn't seem a lot, I think it can be quite hard especially when you have a busy week. Also I'm trying to become more organised with my blog as I don't want to have to stop posting when it comes to my exams so I'm going to try and prepare as many blog posts as I can for the future.

♡ It Gives Me Something To Look Forward To;

There's nothing I love more than writing blog posts as I feel like I could write for hours about anything and everything and although my blog pictures are not very good, I love taking them as I like messing around with lighting and seeing what works best. I love brainstorming ideas for my blog as I try and get a range of posts on my blog and I love when I have a new idea and I tend to get way too excited about a post that I look forward to writing.

I don't know what I used to do without my blog as now when I have free time, I'll go straight to my blog and I do that automatically now. I always try and do my homework as quick as possible so I can spend longer on my blog and writing more posts.

How To Have A Productive Morning

I've been having more 'productive' mornings than usual lately, most mornings I wouldn't have done anything be 12pm however now I'm getting lots of jobs done in the morning which makes me feel good and productive and determined to do more!

I think having a productive morning means the rest of my day is productive as if I do nothing in the morning my afternoon tends to follow the same pattern. So I'm sharing my tips on how to have a successful morning!

♡ Set Your Alarm;

I always set my alarm just because on the odd occasion I can over sleep for ages and I always feel once I've wasted my morning, my day just ends up being a lazy mess! I'm an early bird anyway so most days I do wake up before my alarm but I always set my alarm just in case!

I think waking up at a specific time is one of the best ways to be productive as that way you can plan your morning and I always feel even more tired when I have a longer sleep. Also I like to wake up at around the same time most days as the I feel like my body clock is use to it and doesn't feel as much as a hardship getting up early. It says it takes 21 days to make a habit so setting your alarm early is something you can easily get used to. Most mornings I wake up at around 8am which is quite late for me as I used to always be up and ready to go at 7am which is way too early for me now!

♡ Avoid Your Phone;

I'm sure we can all agree that once we start checking up on our social media in the morning, it's like 2 hours later and you're still in the same position. I used to do this all the time, I'd wake up and start watching some YouTube and before I knew it, it would be lunchtime. Most mornings I will wake up and go down for breakfast and while I eat I check my social medias which only takes me a couple of minutes.

Since not lying in bed on my phone for hours in the morning, I've noticed a big difference in how much I can get done in the morning. And I don't even miss going on my phone as most of the time I'd be watching pointless videos or getting side tracked on Twitter.

♡ Exercise;

By exercise I don't mean going on a hours run at 9am, but I love doing yoga in the mornings or in the nicer weather I love skipping which I just do in my drive. I love doing 10 minutes of yoga in the morning and I always watch Yoga By Adriene on YouTube as she has loads of videos depending on what type of yoga you want to do. Whether you want to watch for beginners, focus on certain body parts or for weight loss. I tend to do some yoga on a Sunday morning and I'll just watch a 10 minute video.

If you have a busy day ahead I think doing 10 minutes of exercise is perfect as it wakes you up and makes you feel ready for the day, especially as yoga is super calming. And it gives your body a stretch and wake up after you've been sleep for a while.

♡ Eat Breakfast;

I've never once skipped breakfast and it utterly confuses me when I hear of people skipping breakfast. I absolutely love breakfast and I always make sure I eat a decent breakfast to start my day.

Being honest, my breakfasts are pretty boring, most mornings I'll have muesli or granola and the odd day I'll treat myself to Coco Pops because I'm basically still a 7 year old... But breakfast doesn't have to be anything fancy like avocado on toast (which I personally think is disgusting lol) just as long as you're having a decent sized breakfast that can fuel the start of your day. Also your body looses sugar when you're sleeping so it's important to regain your energy in the morning.

I always have eat a good breakfast in the morning which will last me to lunch so it stops me snacking in between, as once I start snacking in between meals, I'm unstoppable (especially when it comes to chocolate digestives...).

♡ Stay Hydrated;

Drinking plenty of water is key to every morning as it keeps me hydrated and after drinking water in the morning it makes me feel awake and ready to go. I always put a slice of lemon in my water which I love the taste of but also has great health benefits. I put a lemon in my water bottle everyday and have done for the past two year, which was not for the health benefits but just because I prefer the taste more! But slicing a lemon in your water feels refreshing but drinking it in the morning re-hydrates your body also I love drinking a mug of hot water and lemon in the morning which is just as good.

♡ Make A List & Set Daily Goals;

I love making lists. firstly it gives me a great excuse to buy some cute note pads as well as it makes me feel super productive ticking jobs off. Also if you have a busy day ahead you can feel more organised by having all your jobs wrote down which can let you manage your time to fit everything in. I sometimes like to write my to-do lists the night before so then I can get up and go and then you have a clear plan of what you need and are going to do.

On the weekends I like to make daily to-do lists but for the days when I've got a couple of jobs to do throughout the weekend, I like to make a to-do list for the weekend or sometimes the whole week.

However always make sure our to-do lists are sensible and things you will actually be able to achieve in that day as otherwise if you end the day with a couple of jobs not ticked off then that could leave you feeling even less productive and successful.

♡ Get The Worst Out Of The Way;

I always put off things that I don't want to do, whether it's homework, revision or just a boring job that needs doing so on a productive day I will always tick them off first. I procrastinate so much but I'e started to get the worst jobs out of the way first, usually I'll do my homework in the morning and then once it's all done I can write some posts or just chill and watch a film. However if you do have a day full of important jobs then I'd always get the worst out of the way first.

This will make you super productive as once you get it over with you can look forward to the easier jobs and you won't be dreading it all day.

April Favourites

I'm still questioning how it's already the end of April and we are going into May, MAY?
I feel like April has dragged on but then it's only feels like the end of February a couple of days ago! But anyway, I feel like I've has quite a busy month as I had two weeks Easter holiday and then exams in school and it's just whizzed by!
I feel like I haven't has that many favourites this month however the ones I've included in this post have been my definite faves this month.

♡ Miss Sporty Foundation Stick;

I've previsouly mentioned this foundation stick on my blog which you can read more about here. However I've been using this so often recently as it's so quick to apply and gives a natural base perfect for everyday use. The foundation isn't high coverage however gives coverage perfect for everyday and is so buildable so it doesn't look cakey if you build the foundation up.
I love blending it out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush as it gives the best coverage and honestly takes 30 seconds to blend out and the foundation also works so nicely with my beauty blender giving a dewy look. I have it in the shade 001 'Real Ivory' which is the perfect shade for me. They don't offer a huge range of shades however the ones they do offer are very good.
Also this foundation is only £3.99 which is an absolute bargain of a price and especially compared to other drugstore foundations which can be around £8-£12.

♡ Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer 'Fair 1';

I've always had a love hate relationship with this concealer however after giving it another go and getting the right shade, I've been loving it at the moment. When I first tired it, I had shade 2 which was way too orange toned for me and I found it really didn't blend in well which I think was mainly down to the wrong shade. However after getting shade 1, it's worked so much better. I use it under my eyes to highlight and conceal which it works so well.
I love using this under my eyes as firstly the wand is the perfect shape and size so is easy to apply right under my eyes. As well as I love the formula as it is very long lasting and doesn't crease under my eyes at all. This is the perfect shade for me however I would say they do need a bigger shade range as there is only four shades on offer which isn't a lot. I've been using it all throughout this month and I'm definitely going to be re-purchasing this as the consistency is perfect and it's the perfect shade! And this concealer is another bargain from the drugstore of only £4.

♡ Nivea Express Hydration Primer;

This has been a recent purchase of mine and after seeing many people love it and having the driest skin on the planet, I thought I'd give it a go! I apply it with my fingers or sometimes my stippling brush which works really well. I find a little goes a long way and I've definitely noticed a difference in my makeup. My makeup does last much longer than usual as I had much more coverage in my makeup by the end of the day than usual. Also when I take my makeup off my skin feels moisturised and hydrated which I think is all down to this primer. My skin doesn't feel dry when underneath my makeup when I wear this so this is for sure a new firm favourite for me!

♡ Harry Styles;
*takes a deep breath to get ready to spill her heart out on this paragraph*
Okay, Harry Styles is my overall life favourite but April has been a hell of a good month for me when it comes to Harry Styles. I absolutely love Sign Of The Times, it's such a beautiful song and oh my actual god, his voice!! I was crying at his performance on the Graham Norton Show, as firstly his outfit was just heaven and in his performance he looked so happy as he was smiling to himself when he was singing and it just made my heart melt! Also I love his band as well, they just seem so nice and the women on the drums is so good!
I could be here for ages and I could probably write a whole bible about how excited I am for his album (bring on May 12th) beacause I can speak about Harry for my whole entire life and never get bored.
However before I go off on one (not that I already am), I'm absolutely in love with his new song Ever Since New York when he performed it on the Jimmy Fallon Show. I really have to try and contain myself when he sings them high notes...
Oh and of course, Harry hadn't killed my enough already in April so he releases that he's GOING ON A FRICKIN TOUR!!! I've never seen One Direction live (after hours of trying to get tickets), so I've already got my fingers crossed that I''l be able to get tickets!!

♡ Girl Boss;

If you read my Life Update post you will know that I've been watching Girl Boss on Netflix and I only finished the series yesterday and I loved it so much! There is only one series which consists of 13 episodes which are all around 20 minutes long. If you haven't heard of the story line, it's based on Sophia Amoruso's business which is where she sold vintage clothes on Ebay and then it escalated into her having her own business which is now worth millions. In the episodes it showed how she faced problems and how she over came them.
It's a really easy to watch drama and I found it so funny but also makes you really determined to believe in what you're doing and don't let anyone stop you. I would definitely watch it as I've thoroughly enjoyed every episode, also I'm really tempted to buy the book now as I find it so interesting and I would love my own business when I'm older!

Life Update; One Year of Blogging, School & Netflix

Hey guys, so for today's post I've decided to have a little ramble about my life as I've never done a chatty post on my blog before. I just felt like a little talk today and I love reading these style of posts as I love getting to know the people behind a blog a bit better!
Also before I start, I took these blog photos outside, I mean I know they are nothing special but I was super impressed because I was wondering if England even knew what the sun was as I haven't seen it in years!! And I'm trying to up my blog photos as they are pretty terrible at the moment!

Life;
My life is pretty boring to be perfectly honest, I'm already counting down the days till summer which I really shouldn't but I can't help myself! I can't wait just to go out in shorts and a vest top and get some freckles and a summer glow, oh and not forgetting the burnt shoulder I always seem to get in about a minute of sun! The only thing I'm not looking forward to about summer is my 'summer body', because girl I've been eating waaaaaayyy too much at the moment (she says whilst scoffing an Easter egg)...
I haven't really been up to much recently, I've just been sitting on the sofa binge watching Girl Boss which is I'm loving at the moment it's the perfect easy watching but funny and motivating drama! Also I'm super annoyed that there wasn't an episode of Riverdale on Friday because I live for Cole Sprouse (aka Jughead) he is absolutely gorgeous! I felt so sorry for him in the last episode talking to Betty at the party but it's so cute how they are together in real life. And did you see them all at Coachella?!?! Cole Sprouse in that yellow shirt........ o m g! (Keep it together Kate).
And have any of you guys been watching the new episodes of Pretty Little Liars? I have but I'm getting a bit fed up with it as it drags on so much but I'll keep on watching it till the end as there are only 9 more episodes to go! Also I love Caleb on PLL so he's one good reason to watch it!
But anyway, before I get sidetracked with Netflix as I could go on for hours no joke, I'm not really getting up to much in the next month. I'm going to see The Vamps at the start of May which I am so excited for and there is als

School;
I'm in year 10 at school and I've just finished a week of exams just this week which I'm so happy they're finished! They were just like year 10 mocks and I found them impossible, like I felt like I should be going back to year 5 maths. So I'm definitely not looking forward to getting my marks back however they don't matter that much so it's not the end of the world!!
Also for any wondering, for my GCSE's, I'm taking obviously English, Maths, Science and then History, Spanish, Business and Textiles. I really like the subjects I take and I know it's a long way off but for A-level, I'd love to take English Language, Business and Economics and Textile but of course I have plenty of time to change my mind!
I would love to go to university when I'm older and I'd love to go into fashion/textiles but obviously there is so many courses to do so I think I'm going to start looking at different courses to get some inspiration as I love thinking about my future as it makes me really determined and motivated!

Blog;
At the end of April, it will be the one year anniversary of my blog which I think is crazy! Although I made my blog in April, I only started writing properly on my blog in September so it had just sat there collecting dust for 5 months! I'm so proud of myself for being able to do my blog though as the two blogs I previously had, I was never organised enough to keep them going. I would never have thought this time last year that I would still have my blog and be writing frequently on it so I've definitely proved myself wrong! I can't wait to see my blog this time next year as I'm 100% sure I will still be writing away on it!
I've been so much more organised at the moment and now my exams are finished, I can be fully focused on my blog which I'm very happy about! I'm trying to get more fashion on my blog so I've got some posts planned that I'm praying nice weather will come so I can take some nice sunny photos! And I've also got some makeup looks coming up so I'm quite excited to do them as I love tying out new looks with my makeup!
And it's a long way off but you know when you get an idea that really isn't that interesting but it seems like the best idea in the world? Well anyway, I'm planing to do a festival themed week on my blog which I'll include makeup looks, outfits and hair as well as maybe some tips. So for some reason I'm excited to do that although it's going to be ages away but it's something to look forward to!!!

I can't wait to do more summer themed posts as well, as I'm so excited for summer at the moment so I'm praying the sun will come out for a change!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this chatty post, I've never done anything like this but I quite enjoyed just rambling away! And sorry if I got a bit too excited about Riverdale... What can I say, I love Cole Sprouse!
